Monster High Create a Monster Werewolf and Dragon

Here's the second CAM set. I bought it mostly so the skeleton girl would have a somewhat matching body. By next week I'll be $40 richer.  I can't believe I spent that much on these.

Monster High Create a Monster Vampire and Sea Monster

I think the past year of Monster High products has been a social experiment to see just how badly a company can treat customers before they stop buying. I got lucky after Christmas and found the Skeleton CAM pack. It took more than three months to find the double sets with the TORSOS in them, so I bought them on sight but never felt like opening them. Now they're shipping the sets with two torsos, so I'm returning both sets. Thank goodness Wal-Mart has a 90 day return policy. I really liked the Sea Monster head, but at this point I doubt I'll re-buy it. I'm burned out.

Bratz Style It Rylan

Rylan is my recent find that I'm pretty proud of. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get one, because the Bratz with darker skin and hair colors all sell out before the Cloe-like dolls. Rylan was the only darker skin-tone doll in the four doll assortment released right around Black Friday, and impossible to find. I thought I had missed her for good when the new 2012 Bratz started coming out, but two weeks ago my nearest Wal-Mart got in four dolls each of Nadine and Maci, and Myra and Jaylene from the earlier fall wave. Maci has black hair and was almost as impossible to find as Rylan, so at least this confirms that somebody at MGA is paying some attention to what sells. That's good news.

I don't know how I can justify keeping Rylan and tossing out Myra. They're almost the same skin color.  They all use the same painting stencils, it seems ridiculous to put so much thought into it.  I like her simplicity.

Bratz Style It Myra

I'm probably going to return this doll the next time I'm out, because I put her next to the Bratz I already have, and she doesn't stand out that much. She's almost the same skin tone as Shadi, and has similar eyes to the Sasha I have, though brighter and more intense in color.

I think she has a great sophisticated look, as far as Bratz go. She has a lot of blush, which really compliments her skin tone. I have to be firm with myself, I do not need any more dolls that look very close to what I already own. She is very tempting to keep. The unfinished edges on the jacket are the only real negative thing about her.

Liv Twist n Dance Katie

Just like all the other dancing Livs, I think she's pretty enough. It's sad to find out that the Liv line has officially been canceled as of 2013. I think the Dancing Livs were the last nail in Liv's coffin. They were as expensive as the original dolls, but without the extra wig and accessories. They can't sit or bend their legs, pretty bad for a line that promoted its jointing. It seems like the Nature sets didn't sell well enough, so they went into full glam mode the last year or so, and tried to out-Barbie Barbie at twice the price. I will miss them.

Liv Twist n Dance Hayden

This doll is very tempting to keep.  She's a peachy bohemian, too bad she doesn't have a normal body.
