2013 Birthday Wishes Barbie
She's my first quarter BC club purchase. I almost passed on signing up this year, but I do want some more of the university cheer leader dolls. I grabbed her because I like the doll and the dress, however, the dress is a bit disappointing in person. The scalloped trim on the bodice is the bottom portion of a larger piece of lace, that was crudely sliced off and applied with the raw edge sticking up. It was only added to the front after the dress was fully constructed, so where the ends should be tucked into the side seam, it's just hanging out. The other materials are OK, I may pluck the lace off.
But enough about the dress, the doll is adorable. The eyes aren't quite as big as the '90s era dolls, but they're the biggest eyes I've seen on the modern style Mackie faces. The promo photos show them as blue, but they're a light teal green.
I haven't opened the box yet, it's one of those smaller, lightweight boxes, like the 2012 Holiday doll has.

Scaris Draculaura
Her outfit is pretty half-hearted, but I really like the face, and never could find a good Skull Shores version. If you don't stay on top of Monster High, it will fly past you. I really hate having to scramble for dolls, I'm always on the edge of burnout.

Fashionista Raquelle in the red carpet dress
I hadn't wanted this doll, because from all I'd seen, the eyes were too far up on the head, or a little lopsided. I finally saw one where the eyes really had IT. Unfortunately, someone had ripped open the box and stolen the shoes. I visited her weekly for over a month before I broke down and bought her. It's probably not my smartest collecting move, oh well.

Hunger Games' Katniss Everdeen
I picked this girl up for $5 at Hudson's, loose and apparently mint-ish in a taped box. I didn't realize until I unboxed her that there's a light scuff on the forehead. Hopefully I can pull a few plugs of her hair over it. She's a cute enough doll, but wasn't on my wishlist due to being so similar to the denim Barbie Basics #04.
The cargo pockets on the pants are hemmed and functional, I don't know how long it's been since I've seen that on any brand of playline-y doll. The bow and arrows are realistic and well-scaled for Barbie accessories. The original Target price is only $25, I think it's well worth that, considering the jointed body, detailed fashion, and accessories.

2012 Bratz fashion assortment
I'm sure these aren't new to anybody. They didn't impress me enough to purchase initially, but I found them in Hudson's toy section for 80% off. I do like the tan boots and the wellies.
