I like this girl a lot, but the other two versions of Abbey do nothing for me. I hope I can get the regular edition at a sale, for her clothes. I don't care much for the body glitter, but as long as it's confined to Abbey, and they don't start coating Draculaura in it as well, I can live with it.
I love that most of the bargain line dolls come with a trading card. They aren't fancy or fine, just unpretentious kid-friendly ephemera.

Rollermaze Operetta and the fashion pack
A few nights ago, I came into Wal-Mart right after the MH restock, and nabbed this gal from a hidden stash somebody had made behind the Barbie playsets. Sorry, secret stasher, whoever you are. I've never seen the regular edition Operetta in a store. I found her fashion on clearance a few weeks ago, other people must have been equally unenthusiastic about buying a fashion for a doll that essentially didn't exist yet.
This doll and her fashion theme reminds me of the Beetlejuice cartoon, a childhood favorite. I wish I could send her back in time to myself around 1990.

Robecca Steam
Last week, I dragged myself to Wal-Mart, and somehow met a nice Mattel employee back in the toy section, who had one of the stock people bring out the new Monster High shipment just for me. It was heaven. They had a perfect Robecca Steam, so I grabbed her up.
She's so pretty, I can't bring myself to take her out of the box. She has some of the best shoes the line has released so far. She also has that great bright blue hair the skeleton girl CAM wig uses as a highlight. It's a lovely color, and I don't think Dollyhair or Katsilk have that shade in any fiber type.

Monster High CAM Witch and Cat
I've been on a Monster High bender lately, and I promise to talk about some other dolls soon.
I got the new Create a Monster Cat & Witch set the other day. I love the witch, I wanted her since the promo photos were released. I'm pretty apathetic towards the cat, mine has paint problems on the leg and face, and came dirty, to boot. She would have been more interesting in a color other than pink.
I like the individual right hands each doll comes with. It's a nice touch.

Daughter of the Wasp Woman (A MH CAM)
I was pretty pleased to finally find one of these girls with good face paint. The two layers of plastic covering them makes it hard to inspect these. Mine came with the left knee joint permanently bent, but I don't want to return it, since the holiday toy rush starts soon. I don't care much for the wig style, but it does fit.
I love bug horrors, and I hope more will come. I know a spider will be coming soon, but I really want a fly.

In love with my Skeleton Girl CAM
She still needs hair and some clothes. She's too ethereal for that sweater dress, and the wig she came with doesn't come close to fitting. I hope to swap her head with Skelita, that body has upper arm bones to match the lower ones.

Official Monster High CAM Torso packs
Grab them while you can, and spread the news. Who knows how many (or few) Mattel has on hand. I'm so glad Mattel listened to complaints and finally offered this. I've had the skeleton girl parts in a ziplock bag for months. Now she's finally complete. The body is slightly darker than the parts, but it's not as bad as with the gray werewolf. Sorry for the shoddy webcam photo.
