I want to find some clothes for her that highlight her green and hazel eyes.

Jenny Friend Annie
I love how different each release looks, just by changing the colors. I never wanted an Annie until this one.
Here are a few other pages of cute Annie photos.

Jenny returns in 2010 as a Fashionista.
The big news from Japan is a Jenny re-launch.
She has a new face that looks like her original face.
She has a new friend, Jessica. She looks cross-eyed and kind of homely compared to the 30-something other Jenny friends out there.
It looks like each doll has a 24 piece display of fashion separates, 630 yen for each item. I'm mostly interested in the fashions, but I would love a new 3rd generation Jenny.

Mandarake gets two thumbs up.
I got an order from Mandarake yesterday. They're a secondhand media and "collectibles" store chain in Japan. They have occasional good deals on dolls.
I grabbed this Takara Bako doll from 2001. The site picture looked like a Juliana, I was pleasantly surprised to see it was Annie. A doll with water-ripple eyes was a semi-grail of mine.

quality in the strangest places
While sorting through junk I need to get rid of, I was surprised to see this on a High School Musical fashion.
Most of the interior seams on the shirt are serged, while the lapel and tie are raw-edged scraps of fabric.
They don't even serge the "collectible" fashions anymore, how this thing got it is a mystery.
