Fashionistas #69 Blue Beauty!

I got her, woo hoo!  I'm so happy with her, she has a perfect face.  If I don't get any more dolls from this wave, I'll still be happy.

My only complaint is the face does have a few defects.  There's a bit of dark detritus in the plastic on her right cheek.  There are also some dark specks around the lips, I'm not brave enough to swab it with acetone and find out if it can come off.  It's not bad enough to really detract from the doll.

I bought the new #64 Fashionista "Leopard Lovin"

I picked the best looking one on the shelf, got it home, and realized one of the eyes is scratched.  Oh well.  I guess I'll just sit on it NRFB and wait and see if I can find a better one.

I appreciate that the top is black cotton jersey with a real screen print.  It's a nice touch.

Face paint variation in Tennis Coach Barbie

I noticed these two variations from the exact same shipment of new dolls.  It's surprising how different two copies of the same doll can be these days.  I now flip through all the dolls, if I didn't like a doll a few months ago, I might find a nicer variation.

Here are two extra bonuses I've had sitting on my drive.

Spotted new EPI "Fresh Dolls" at Walmart today.

I wish the company all the best, but I don't think these live up to the bar set by the Prettie Girls.  The giftsets were around $25, I forget what the single doll costs.  The faces are really that long, it's not distortion from my crummy cellphone camera.  The single fashions are $4.99, I think they will probably sell before the dolls.

Estella's new dress

I had this dress sitting around almost finished for most of the past year.  I made the mistake of using the most awful squishy knit fabric ever made.  I finally put some eyelets into the back to fasten it.  You can't tell from the photos, but the drat eyelets went in crooked thanks to the squishy fabric.  At least it's finished, it took much more effort than it looks like.  I liked the scale of the print, it seemed perfect for a bohemian maxi dress.
